While the Coachella festival is one of the largest music festivals of the year a whole different world lives in itself, a world of expression, creativity and symbolism through fashion. Once you step into Coachella creative boundaries do not exist, the people who attend really know how to express themselves with how they look and they do it fabulously!! Coachella is rapidly becoming one of the biggest style events of the year and will most likely have a huge impact of this summer's biggest trends, let's take a look at the hottest looks of the 2014 coachella...
Hair usually seems to be the last thing on a festival-goer's mind but not for anyone here!! A sea of blonde flooded Coachella this year, bleached blonde babes, subtle highlighted locks and heavily lightened tips all made an appearance; Vanessa Hudgens being a prime example sporting her pretty blonde ombre effect. That's not all though, some even dared to take their colour one step further, replacing blonde with bright neon colours. From full heads of bright colour to flashes of neon appearing through neutral shades anyone who tried this pulled it off perfectly. Katy Perry dipped her hair in grass green while Ke$ha's hair looks like it could have a leprechaun and a pot of gold at the end of it!! Tousled waves made a big appearance also, long, short, tied up or plaited the girls didn't seem to abandon their salt spray (or maybe that's just a lack of hair washing)
Coachella seemed to be full of flower power this year. Most attenders took on the hippie chic look, adding their own twist and flare to it. Vanessa Hudgens was a big example of this, her tousled wavy hair paired with exotic prints, excessive jewellery and face jewels screamed hippie princess. She pulled this look off flawlessly and seems to be a big idol of Coachella fashion this year. Some however decided to ditch the brightly coloured prints and sport a more dark, gothic look. Celebrities like Kendall and Kylie Jenner both opted for a head to toe black outfit, I imagine that much use of black didn't go down well in the middle of the desert. Nonetheless Kendall's floor length floral lace cardigan and Kylie's black floral head piece both add a little extra to the average all black outfit. They both look beautifully gothic and pull the look off fabulously, succeeding in making 'plain' outfits exciting.
I am a huge fan of Coachella's fashion this year. Everyone from celebrities to general public all mixed art with the way they're dressed and looked amazing. I think this year's festival very well may have a huge impact on Summer trends this year, up there in high end fashion right down to high street stores. Watch out.
